A combination in horse racing betting refers to all the selections of horses on which a bettor bets. These combinations make it possible to cover different winning possibilities by betting on several horses in the same race.
Enter the number of competitors (horses or other animal: camels, greyhounds, dogs, snails etc.), any non-runners, and the number of horses bet. dcode will generate all possible combinations.
Tip: the number of combinations being very large, avoid generating ordered bets, keep the combinations in disorder then, manually bet on the order of your choice.
Example: Race of 16 horses (numbered from 1 to 16), 1 horse not starting with the number 13, Bet of a Trifecta (3 horses) in exact order: 2730 combinations (possibility to make a random selection).
In the context of horse racing, certain competitors are favored, and others clearly outsiders or even have no chance. It is therefore judicious to filter the combinations by favoring the horses having a greater probability of victory and of disadvantaging the horses with the weak probability.
To filter or eliminate certain combinations of horse racing bets, the bettor can use different strategies. Like deciding not to include horses considered favorites to focus on the underdogs and thus get higher odds; or even exclude certain horses based on their past performance, race distance, or weather conditions.
dCode allows you to filter the results by removing combinations that are deemed to be inappropriate and unlikely, which minimizes the number of bets and maximizes the potential earnings.
Obviously, a trifecta/tiercé (3 horses) has fewer combinations than a quarté (4 horses), which has fewer combinations than a quinté (5 horses) and therefore each pays proportionally less.
Export the results (or copy / paste) and make a random selection.
