A musical sheet is a transcription describing the music on a staff with notes (and other signs).
The reading is based on solfeggio. dCode can convert a staff into notes by translating the most common 18 notes and their variation sharp # and flat b.
Example:
DO | C | RE | D | MI | E | FA | F | SOL | G | LA | A | SI | B |

dCode displays partitions with a treble key (usual for a piano) or a bass key and notes are all eight notes.
In order to transcribe the different octaves, the note can be suffixed by its octave.
The eighth note is the most represented note in music ♪ it has an oval head of solid black color. Its duration is defined as equal to half a quarter note (crotchet), a quarter of a half note (minim), and an eighth of a whole note (semibreve).
dCode has taken the liberty to simplify the writing of sharps and bemols, they are normally on the same level as their following note on the stave.
The type of note (eighth note, quarter note, half note) is not taken into account in the name of the note.
The PDF format is not suitable for converting notes. It will probably be necessary to use visual recognition software (OCR type) to convert such a file.
A free solution is to manually copy the notes into dCode.
Work is underway to enable this, in the meantime, it is not currently possible on dCode.
This work was generally reserved for musicians or people with a musical ear. However, today there is dedicated software (often paid) which attempts (with more or less success) to convert audio files (music or song) into notes/sheet music.
