Addition with Unknown(s)

Addition solving with n unknown

Answers to Questions (FAQ)

How to solve an addition with dCode?

The addition solving uses the equation solver available on dCode. This is a special form of equation involving the + addition operator.

Example: Equation with 1 variable $ 1+x=2 \iff x=1 $

Example: Equation with 2 variables $ x+y=0 \iff x=-y $

Indicate the variable with a letter (generally x) in order to indicate that it is this unknown which is needed, the solver will give the addition result either in the form of integer if it exists, either in form of fraction, or in numerical form (number with decimal places).

For missing numbers calculations like 1_2+4_=1_5 with blanks, use the missing digits calculation solver.

How to solve a system with multiple additions?

Indicate several lines of addition with the same variable(s). An alternative solution is to separate them with the AND logical operator: &&.

How to solve other types of equations?

Equations involving subtraction, multiplication, division etc. can be solved via the dCode equation solver.
