What is the previous word in the dictionary? (Definition)
The previous word in a dictionary is, for a given word (that exists or not), the dictionary word that directly precedes it according to the alphabetical order.
How to find the word before in the dictionary?
Indicate the word on dCode (above), and click on Search to obtain the list of the preceding words in the selected lang and dictionary.
Example: WOODY is a word that come just before the word WORD
(With a dictionary) Take a dictionary, look up the word, and look directly under it to find the previous word.
How to find a word still before in the dictionary?
Indicate the word on dCode (above), list the previous 10, and if it is not enough, start again with the first word in the list.
(With a dictionary) Look up the word and read one before, or the first one on the page (or even the page before).

Except explicit open source licence (indicated Creative Commons / free), the "Previous Word" algorithm, the applet or snippet (converter, solver, encryption / decryption, encoding / decoding, ciphering / deciphering, breaker, translator), or the "Previous Word" functions (calculate, convert, solve, decrypt / encrypt, decipher / cipher, decode / encode, translate) written in any informatic language (Python, Java, PHP, C#, Javascript, Matlab, etc.) and all data download, script, or API access for "Previous Word" are not public, same for offline use on PC, mobile, tablet, iPhone or Android app!
