Answers to Questions (FAQ)

What is the value of a word? (Definition)

The value of a word is a rather arbitrary concept which associates a value with a word (a name, a person, an object etc.), generally according to its letters (which themselves have a value).

How to calculate the value of a word?

In numerology, it is common to associate a numerical value to each letter of a word, a value, usually its rank in the alphabet. Take A=1 until Z=26, and add the numeric values found for each letter (the letters calculator sum up automatically) to get the word's value:

Example: DCODE = D+C+O+D+E = 4+3+15+4+5 = 31

Numerology is a pseudo-science, it is a belief without scientific foundation, attention to its use by charlatans.

To solve the calculations like ABC+DEF=GHI use the solver of cryptarithms.

What is the signification of the value found?

The value of a word has no scientific meaning. Any statement about the value of a word has no scientific basis, yet many numerology beliefs make values say just about anything (love, chance, death, etc.).

How to find the digital root (only 1 digit)?

Numerology uses recursive reduction, which consists in applying the calculation (usually addition) until having only one digit:

Example: DCODE = 31 and 3+1 = 4

This calculation also called digital root, is widely used to associate a number between 0 and 9 to a name.

What is the sum of all 26 letters of the alphabet?

The sum A+B+C+…+Z so 1+2+3+…+26 is equal to 351.
