Wordfeud is a video game of letters in all points similar to Scrabble, playable online between 2 players.
Players have 7 random letters and must form words on a grid to score points.
Indicate your 7 letter tiles. A blank letter (joker) is written with ?, * or space.
Example: WORDFE? (? = joker) or WORDFE* (* = joker)
Solver handles board letters if needed (Use a letter already on the board or Use any additional letter modes).
Example: Enter the letters ABC or A,B,C as board letters to hang a word to a letter A, B or C. The any letter mode will try to connect any letter of the alphabet.
To use a block or a pattern of letters on the board use the pattern mode
Example: Enter the block ABC to hang a word to the group of letters ABC.
Example: Enter the pattern A**C to hang a word containing a A, any two letters, then a C.
To get a definition from the dictionary, click on a word in the result.
Certain words, although perfectly in the English dictionary, are not accepted. Wordfeud refuses to provide a list of reference words. It is then impossible to predict whether a word will be accepted or not.
Strategies for winning at Wordfeud include:
— the use of potential high-scoring words of 7 letters or more
— monitoring of special boxes (DL = Double count letter, DW = Double count word, TL = Triple count letter, TW = Triple count word)
— the ability to block the opponent's movements (with blocking words).
NB: A stop word is a word that cannot be extended in the game (indicated on dCode with a vertical bar |).
The exact number of points depends on the letter or word counts double or triple on the board. Using the 7 letters brings a bonus of 40 points.

Using a Wordfeud solver may be considered cheating if the rules of the game established between players prohibit it. Otherwise, using a solver can be seen as helping to improve vocabulary and strategy skills. It is recommended to discuss with opponents and ensure that the use of a solver is agreed to by all parties before using it.
